Lash Lift & Semi-Permanent Mascara FAQ

What is the different between lash extension and lash lift?

Lash extension is implanting individual lashes to each of your natural lashes for a luscious look. Refill and maintenance appointment are necessary to keep the look once every 3-4 weeks. Removal appointments are needed to properly remove the extensions without causing harm to your natural lashes.

Lash lift is simply curling and lifting your own natural lashes. Additional lashes will not be applied to you at a lash lift appointment. Results lasts 8-12 weeks with no maintenance appointments in between, just simply reschedule in 8-12 weeks to maintain same result.

How long does it take?

About 60-90 minutes depending on how long and coarse your lashes are. The semi-permanent mascara is applied after the lash lift.

How do I prepare for this appointment?

Please arrive to the appointment makeup free. Your eye area must be thoroughly cleansed and dry. If you wore heavy eye makeup or false lashes the night before, please take extra care in makeup removal to ensure it is clean and free of makeup and or glue. Showing up with makeup will eat into your appointment time, removal fee of $25.00 will be added to the service. It may also cause sensitivity due to excessive rubbing of your eye before your appointment.

Contact lenses must be removed - it is best to wear glasses on the day of your appointment.

I recommend showering and washing your hair beforehand as you cannot get your lashes wet for the first 24 hours after appointment.

Can I continue to use eyelash curler?

It is not necessary and not recommended as eyelash curler tend to break off the lashes.

Is lash lift safe? will I lose my natural lashes?

Lash lift is safe and will not harm your natural lashes. The formula used is 100% safe for eyes and lashes, it is also FDA and Health Canada approved. It is normal to lose one or two lashes daily, it happens to everyone as it is normal lash growth cycle.

Are there any side effects?

Your lashes are lifted onto a silicone pad before the procedure. The product does not touch your skin during the lash lift process, thus minimizing any possible irritation. In absolute rare cases, allergic reaction can develop. If you are extremely sensitive or allergic to makeup and skincare products, please advise at the time of the booking. We can schedule a patch test 48 hours prior to your appointment.

do i need to come back for maintenance or removal?

No! There is zero maintenance and no need for any removal. Just follow aftercare protocols to prolong the lifespan of your lash lift. The lifted lashes will begin to naturally drop after about 8 weeks and will eventually go back to their natural look. Just re-book your appointment in 8-12 weeks for another lash lift.

What do i need to watch out for after appointment?

The first 24 hour is the most crucial as your lashes are still lifting and setting. Do not get your lashes wet during the first 24 hours of the appointment. No eye makeup for the first 24 hours of the appointment. Do not sleep face down and no rubbing your eyes.
